Welcome to DMS-2019 Conference!

We are pleased to invite you to the International Conference on Data Science, Machine Learning and Statistics 2019 (DMS-2019) at the Van Yüzüncü Yıl University located at the eastern region of Turkey, from June 26-29, 2019. The conference will cover many important topics in data science, machine learning, and statistics. Participation to this conference is free of charge. Each participant is responsible for arranging their accommodation and travel services. This meeting shall create a forum to discuss recent progress and emerging ideas in areas of interest. During the conference, participants will have opportunities to discuss new theoretical and practical issues in their fields and to establish new collaborations. Presentations can cover topics such as advance soft computing, heuristic algorithms, data infrastructures, and analytics, which are recent advances in Data Science, Machine Learning, and Statistics.

Registration and Abstract Submission

Registration Fee: Free of charge

We are pleased to announced that original and unpublished full papers and abstracts are welcomed by us. The full papers will be requested after the acceptance of the corresponding abstract and published in Proceeding Book. Extended deadline for the full paper submission is June 20, 2019. The template for the full paper will be provided later.Please click on the button below to submit an abstract for DMS-2019 conference.

Submit your abstract

We strongly encourage you to use LaTeXtemplate or Microsoft Word for writing your abstract. Once the paper is accepted for presentation, the original tex file is required. All abstracts must be written in English. The conference official language is both English and Turkish.

The submissions are considered into two following classifications:

Contributed Talk: Each presentation is made orally within 15 minutes (including 3 minutes of discussion).

Poster: Poster session will especially reserve for the presentation of the PhD student research. The main purpose of this format is to provide PhD students with feedback on their work in a less formal setting than that of a plenary presentation.

Best Paper Award

Best paper in each session will be awarded Best Paper Certificate. Best papers will be notified by the session chair at the end of each session of the conference.

Full Text Submission

Please send your full-text papers to dms@yyu.edu.tr for full-text submission.
The outline paper is limited to max. four A4 pages with Figures and Tables. Your submission should include the background and nature of issue or problem, your findings and results, and the significance and impact of your presentation on the topic of the conference.

Conference Venue

The City of Van

Van is a city with a short name, along history, and numerous interesting things to see, especially if you like history and natural beauty. It is situated in the east of Turkey, and on Lake Van, from which the city has taken its name. Under the name of Tuşpa, it used to be capital of the kingdom known in history as the Urartian. Starting from the 3000’s BC it served as the home for the Hurrians. Seljukian and Ottoman architecture can be seen in old Van, which is surrounded by a clay wall. Of these buildings, the most important one is the Ulu Mosque left from the 12th-14th centuries. Lake Van is Turkey’s biggest lake, with a surface area of 3,713 sq.km. Around the Lake are some interesting historic sites; the most important of these are the Akdamar Island and Church, and Ahlat and the Ahlat Open Air Museum. Van is also the home of the Van Cat. These cats are white with long hair and have one blue and one yellow eye. This is the only member of the cat species that likes to swim and play in water.

Van Yüzüncü Yıl University

The idea of establishing a university in Van is very old. It dates back to the pre-Republican period. Our university, which was founded on July 20, 1982 on the shores of Lake Van, continues to be the light of the future. The name of our university which continues its academic activities in 15 km distance to city center and is located around Van Lake with its 17 faculties, 5 institutes, 4 vocational schools, 9 vocational schools, 1 conservatory, 43 application and research centers, has been changed as Van Yüzüncü Yıl University in accordance with the Law No. 7033 dated 18.06.2017 and it has become effective by being published in Official Gazette dated 1 July 2017 and numbered 30111.
